About The Position

As a Senior Product Designer, you will partner with designers, product managers, and software developers to create customer-facing, user-centered product experiences that address customer needs, solve problems, and exceed expectations through innovative design and intuitive interfaces. Designers contribute throughout the product development lifecycle, from defining the vision and strategy for product features to refining interface details. Success in this role requires building strong internal relationships, fostering collaboration, using multiple sources of data to inform design, and envisioning creative solutions to difficult problems. You will translate business and user requirements and technology constraints into meaningful solutions; create design artifacts; gather feedback and iterate; and provide specifications for development hand-off. You will collaborate with developers, QA, and the UX team to support high-quality implementation and consistency across projects. The role also involves direct customer engagement and designing data-rich experiences, including analytics dashboards and workflows, to help customers interpret and act on complex financial data. The position is remote in Canada and specifies EST. The expected base salary range is $115,000 to $140,000, with possible eligibility for bonus awards. Salary within the range is determined by factors including location, skills, experience, competencies, and qualifications. Employment is contingent on meeting requirements to obtain and clear a full background check.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as a User Experience Designer or Product Designer for enterprise applications, with a track record of shipping customer-facing products.
Demonstrated experience developing UX/UI artifacts.
Demonstrated experience participating in user research and conducting user testing exercises.
Experience using qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions.
Good user interface visual design skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Solid understanding of accessibility (A11Y) principles and guidelines.
A design portfolio showcasing sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity comps, and other deliverables that demonstrate expertise in discovery, definition, design, and hand-off of real-world product designs.
Fulfill requirements necessary to obtain and clear a full background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience with data analytics, dashboard design, and data visualization.
Familiarity with accounting and auditing principles or related industry experience.
Experience using AI-powered design and development tools, such as Cursor and Claude.
Experience in design thinking and workshop facilitation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and user requirements and technology constraints into simple, meaningful, user-centered solutions.
Produce user stories, scenarios, sketches, workflows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes throughout the design process.
Gather feedback from users, designers, product management, and other stakeholders to test and iterate on solutions.
Create robust design specification documentation for development hand-off.
Collaborate with developers and QA to ensure high-quality implementation through the production process.
Use and further develop the design system and patterns.
Collaborate with UX team members to ensure consistency across ongoing projects and existing features.
Engage directly with customers through interviews, usability testing, and feedback sessions to understand needs, workflows, and challenges and validate design solutions.
Design intuitive, data-rich experiences, including analytics dashboards and workflows, that help customers explore, interpret, and act on complex financial data.
