Senior Product Designer - Full Remote

Boond
•$55,000 - $70,000•Remote

About The Position

Boond is hiring a Senior Product Designer to help make design a strategic pillar and establish the company as a reference in B2B SaaS. The role focuses on ensuring the team solves the right user problems, rather than simply producing screens. The designer will work within one of six product squads, with their scope determined according to current priorities, and collaborate closely with product and engineering from the outset. Boond uses the Shape Up methodology and works in a fully remote environment. The designer will lead work end to end, from discovery and shaping through delivery and impact measurement. They will clarify user needs, facilitate collaborative design, create and test user journeys, and deliver clear specifications to developers. The role also contributes to a scalable, documented Design System, accessible and responsive interfaces, and the development of design practices across the team. Success is assessed using product and experience measures such as adoption, conversion, churn, upsell, time-to-value, task success, time-on-task, and CES.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in B2B SaaS product design.
  • Demonstrated autonomy across the end-to-end product design cycle, from discovery and shaping through delivery and impact measurement.
  • Ability to reframe needs, identify user problems, and validate problem statements before designing solutions.
  • Experience facilitating co-design, ideation, and prioritization workshops and helping teams reach agreement.
  • Proficiency in discovery methods, including user interviews, usability testing, and usage analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize user journeys and build well-founded information architectures and design decisions.
  • Proficiency with Figma and FigJam, including components, variants, auto-layout, and prototyping.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and explain design decisions to non-design stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing complex business tools such as CRM, ERP, ATS, or HRIS products.
  • Experience in the ESN (IT services and consulting) sector.
  • Previous contribution to a Design System.
  • Use of AI tools such as Claude or Figma Make to accelerate ideation and prototyping.

Responsibilities

  • Clarify user needs and frame the underlying problem before exploring solutions, using interviews, usage data, support feedback, and input from customer success managers.
  • Challenge solution-led requests, prioritize problems with the PO/PM, and validate the problem statement before design begins.
  • Design and facilitate co-design and ideation workshops with product, engineering, business analysts, Boond Coaches, and customers where appropriate.
  • Select suitable workshop formats for problem framing, ideation, story mapping, prioritization, and decision-making; help teams converge on and document shared decisions.
  • Lead the end-to-end design cycle from discovery and shaping through delivery and impact measurement.
  • Map user journeys and flows, identify friction, and develop information architecture that accounts for hierarchy, edge cases, and multi-persona permissions.
  • Prototype and test designs with users before delivery, and provide clear specifications to developers.
  • Maintain responsibility for journey coherence after features enter production.
  • Design clear, attractive interfaces for complex B2B workflows, incorporating accessibility and responsive and mobile considerations.
  • Contribute components and patterns to a scalable, documented Design System, proactively reduce design debt, and advocate an 80% Design System / 20% custom approach.
  • Define experience indicators, make specific requests to the data team, analyze outcomes, and recommend iterations.
  • Participate in design critiques, pair design, and peer reviews; share methods and support the development of the design team.
