Senior Product Designer (Wallets) - 100% Remote Worldwide
About The Position
Tether is hiring a Senior Product Designer to own design execution across its wallets and work directly with the Design Lead to help shape their future. Wallets are described as the first place many people experience ownership of their money. The role involves turning complex ideas into clear, approachable wallet experiences, including for first-time users. The designer will take work from concept and prototyping through launch and iteration, collaborate closely with product, engineering, and research, and present work to leadership. The team works remotely across the world and ships weekly in a fast-paced environment that can be ambiguous.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of product design experience, including experience shipping live products in wallets, crypto, or fintech.
- Strong visual design, interaction design, and prototyping skills.
- Fluency in Figma and modern prototyping tools, including AI tools for accelerating ideation.
- Working understanding of crypto networks, fees, and self-custody, and how they affect user experiences.
- Ability to make complex concepts feel obvious through plain-language design.
- Proactive approach to identifying problems early and bringing solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience designing for emerging markets or first-time financial users.
- Experience with design systems at scale.
Responsibilities
- Own design execution end to end, from concept and prototype through launch and iteration.
- Translate complex, conceptual ideas into simple experiences, particularly for people using a wallet for the first time.
- Create high-fidelity and interactive prototypes quickly, using available tools including AI tools.
- Partner daily with product, engineering, and research.
- Present design work clearly to leadership.
- Raise the quality bar across shipped products.
- Contribute to strategic decisions about the future of Tether’s wallets.
