Senior Product Designer (UX/UI)

CubX Inc.•Lakewood, NJ
•$100,000 - $150,000

About The Position

CubX is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own end-to-end design for complex internal and client-facing IT products and workflows. The role combines UX discovery, systems and interaction design, and polished visual UI design. The designer will turn ambiguous operational problems and manual processes into structured, understandable product experiences, owning the work from problem definition through implementation-ready designs. The designer will partner closely with product, engineering, operations, and other stakeholders to understand current processes and determine how they should work in software. The work includes defining workflows, information architecture, roles and permissions, approval paths, business rules, configuration models, system states, edge cases, and error handling. The role also includes prototyping and validating workflows, designing production-ready interfaces in Figma, collaborating through implementation, and establishing reusable components and standards across a growing multi-product platform. The products serve both internal operators, who need efficiency, visibility, control, and flexibility, and end users, who need clarity, simplicity, and confidence. Strong systems thinking and strong visual craft are both essential. The role is focused on product design rather than branding, marketing, UX work that stops at wireframes, or production design based on fully specified requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of product design experience building B2B SaaS, enterprise software, internal tools, or workflow-driven products.
  • Proven ability to take ambiguous business problems from discovery through shipped product.
  • Strong systems-thinking skills, including experience defining workflows, permissions, approvals, business rules, configurations, system states, and edge cases.
  • Experience designing complex operational software, including forms, tables, dashboards, admin tools, and configuration interfaces.
  • Strong UX, interaction design, information architecture, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong visual design skills and ability to create polished, production-ready interfaces.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including prototyping and design systems.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering, product, and operational stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead discovery, ask insightful questions, challenge assumptions, and clarify requirements.
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership from problem definition through workflow design, UX, final UI, and implementation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise software, internal tools, workflow automation, configuration-heavy systems, or multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Experience designing role-based access, approval workflows, and administrative platforms.
  • Familiarity with MSP, IT operations, IT service management, provisioning, procurement, inventory, or asset management systems.
  • Experience designing security-sensitive or rules-based products.
  • Experience using AI-assisted design and product development workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product design for complex internal operational tools and potential client-facing experiences.
  • Turn manual and ambiguous processes into structured product workflows.
  • Partner with product, engineering, operations, and stakeholders to understand current processes and determine how they should work in software.
  • Define user flows, information architecture, roles and permissions, approval paths, system states, edge cases, business rules, configuration models, and error and exception handling.
  • Lead discovery, ask questions, challenge assumptions, and clarify incomplete or unnecessarily complicated requirements.
  • Determine what should be addressed through UX, what should be configurable, and what logic belongs in the underlying system.
  • Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to validate workflows before detailed design.
  • Design polished, production-ready interfaces in Figma.
  • Design operational UI, including forms, tables, dashboards, navigation, configuration interfaces, admin controls, filters, bulk actions, permissions, empty states, error states, and loading states.
  • Collaborate with engineering during implementation to resolve details and ensure shipped products reflect the intended experience.
  • Help establish reusable components, patterns, and design standards across a multi-product platform.
  • Design experiences for both internal operators and end users.
