Sequence is seeking a senior Product Designer, with approximately five years of experience, to help shape AI-powered finance automation. As one of the company’s first designers, this person will work closely with product, engineering, and the founders to create intuitive, AI-native workflows for billing, invoicing, and receivables. The role suits someone comfortable with ambiguity, interested in new interaction models, and focused on making AI agents powerful and trustworthy. Design decisions are expected to have direct product and customer impact.

Requirements

• Approximately five years of experience, as indicated by the role description.
• Experience shipping B2B products; finance, B2B, or workflow-heavy domains are particularly relevant.
• Comfort working in an early-stage environment and enthusiasm for shaping both product and process.
• Interest in AI tools and curiosity about designing with and for AI.
• Comfort with ambiguity and exploring new interaction patterns.
• Prioritizes speed and impact over extended analysis and research.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with finance, B2B, or workflow-heavy products.
• Familiarity or interest in AI tools such as Cursor, Midjourney, Figma Make, and Claude Artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Design AI-first product experiences across billing, invoicing, collections, and finance-agent workflows.
• Partner with product managers and engineers from discovery through shipping to bring new concepts to life.
• Explore how agentic AI workflows should behave, including what they do automatically, when they request input, and how they explain their reasoning.
• Move between broad concepts and tactical deliverables, from sketching a finance copilot experience to refining invoice-approval interactions.
• Rapidly prototype and test ideas with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Contribute to design reviews and help build a strong design culture at Sequence.
