Senior Product Designer (Mining)

Your responsibilities will include improving the user experience and adoption of Foundry's mining software products, supporting internal and external users, and partnering with Product and Engineering leadership to shape a long-term design practice. • Improve the user experience, accessibility, and adoption of Foundry's Mining Software Products
• Support the needs of internal and external users, establishing feedback systems to consistently gather user insights
• Solve design challenges holistically, crafting complete experiences rather than just designs, and maintain a sense of curiosity about their performance post-deployment
• Support Foundry's efforts to make its mining software more robust, feature-rich, and differentiated
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape an impactful, long-term design practice at Foundry
• Support the creation of Foundry's dedicated design function, enabling the organization to expedite progress through rapid prototyping and streamlined feedback loops
• Leverage design expertise to take rough concepts from low fidelity to high-fidelity, communicating rationale to stakeholders and staying at least one sprint ahead of engineering
• Contribute to Foundry's Design System
• Work closely with UX and Front-end engineering to expand, maintain, and evangelize Foundry's design system

• 5+ years of experience as a design lead on an enterprise product
• 3+ years of design and conducting user interviews
• Experience building and iterating on prototypes
• Fluency in software development lifecycles and processes
• Experience producing high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes in Figma
• Created and leveraged design systems across a multitude of applications
• Conducted design sprints and driven towards carefully crafted MVP requirements
• Experience designing big products through small iterative releases
• Ability to empathize and develop rapport with developers
• Clear writing and compelling speaking skills
• Ability to develop empathy for customers and make decisions based on their needs
• Ability to explain work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Vanilla JavaScript
• Preferred: +2 years of experience in mining or crypto and understanding of UX problems in the space
• Preferred: Knowledge of data visualization and data storytelling techniques
• Preferred: Experience building applications using frameworks like React/Vue/Svelte
• Preferred: Developed and maintained design systems from scratch
• Preferred: Comfortable working remotely as part of a small team with a high level of autonomy
• Preferred: Experience in UI, Interaction Design, and Product
• Preferred: Strong presentation skills
• Preferred: Practical understanding of Agile development methodologies and flexibility to modify them as needed
