About The Position

The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Senior Producer, Social Media responsible for producing video, graphics, editing, ideating and written content for use on all social media channels.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in related field preferred; or equivalent work experience
• Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred
• Knowledge of social media networks
• Excellent copywriting skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to film on an iPhone/DSLR and operate a lavalier microphone
• Knowledge of all social media networks specifically Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and X
• Understanding of social media analytics
• Ability to ideate, produce and deliver creative content (namely video, graphics) in a timely manner
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer proficiency in Photoshop, Audition, Illustrator and AE as well.

Responsibilities

• Create original video and graphic content for all platforms that aligns with the network's brand.
• Monitor broadcasts and identify content for social platforms.
• Collaborate with On-Air and Creative Services teams on the development of social-specific content.
• Work with social and digital teams to develop and refine workflow and posting strategy.
• Capture b-roll, interviews and other content at live sporting events, media days, and on set.
• Mentor a team of social media producers.
• May oversee some day-to-day operations of the social media producer team, including task delegation, scheduling, and workload management.
• Coordinate social media content requests from Social Media Managers, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy and creative objectives.
• Stay informed about emerging social media platforms, tools, and trends, exploring opportunities for expansion and experimentation.
• Travel approximately 20%
