Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration related field OR 8 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • 10+ years' experience in DoD and Commercial Procurement and/or Subcontract Management.
  • FAR/DFARS knowledge.
  • Track record of strong negotiation skills to achieve best value.
  • Strong skills in the use of Microsoft Suite based applications.
  • High level of competence in written and oral communication skills, analytical problem solving, organization, decisiveness, and planning is required.
  • Self-starter with great collaboration skills.
  • Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint
  • CPSR experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and monitor procurement purchase orders and subcontracts of low to high dollar, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Support the selection, development, and management of strategic and preferred suppliers to meet commodity cost and performance goals.
  • Establish programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management, and supply base optimization.
  • Providing contract-related surge support to the Head of Contracts as needed and occasionally performing departmental oversight duties when the Contracts Department Manager is unavailable.
  • Negotiate and administer long-term subcontracts per FAR/DFARS.
  • Run market research: manage supplier performance and order fulfillment.
  • Handle contract changes, continuous improvement, and risk compliance.
  • Negotiate pricing (cost/price, best value) and all key terms: acceptance, delivery, warranty, IP, indemnification, termination and other potential risk areas.
  • Track cost savings/avoidance; establish delivery and payment terms.
  • Apply Import/Export (ITAR, EAR, DDTC), security, and government contract regs (FAR, DFAR).
  • Follow and update procurement policies as needed.
