About The Position

Jabil is seeking a Senior Principal Mechanical Integration Engineer to lead mechanical systems integration for data center infrastructure, with a focus on liquid cooling. The role requires a strong understanding of thermal-component manufacturing and thermal design and analysis. Responsibilities span developing specifications, selecting and placing components, choosing fastening methods, transitioning designs into manufacturing, and leading test-process implementation and equipment selection to support operational excellence and reliability. The engineer will serve as a subject matter expert in single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling for hyperscale data centers, including primary, in-rack, enclosed, and facility-based solutions. The position works across rack, site, equipment, and system levels, integrating liquid cooling infrastructure with equipment such as chillers, heat exchangers, and air handler units. The engineer will develop and review mechanical designs and technical packages, assess performance and applicable code requirements, validate thermal and mechanical performance, and support manufacturing, testing, and deployment. The role also supports modular and prefabricated data center solutions. Designs should use standardized, repeatable mechanical packages that can be built and validated in a factory before shipment, while accounting for skid-mounted deployment, transport and vibration loads, shipping-envelope constraints, and inter-module connection interfaces. The position is remote or based in Austin, Texas, and requires travel of approximately 20%–30% (described elsewhere as up to 30%, rare).
