About The Position

Eaton’s Circuit Protection Division is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineering Specialist for its Protection, Control & Solutions business. The Advanced Technology team in Moon Township develops next-generation circuit protection technologies, including power-electronics-based solid-state and hybrid circuit breakers for DC power systems and data center applications. The role develops and designs circuit-switching, protection, and selective-coordination topologies for low- and medium-voltage DC power distribution systems. The specialist leads the establishment of DC switching and circuit-protection test capabilities, including defining test requirements, developing laboratory infrastructure and procedures, and directing engineering-sample testing to verify performance, protection functionality, reliability, and compliance with applicable requirements. The position supports products from design concept through production launch. The primary function is to deliver DC switching, protection, and selectivity topologies for power-electronics-based circuit-protection products. This includes functionality related to hardware and firmware drivers, protection, metering, communication, and user interfaces. The position requires collaboration with internal engineering and research teams, external technology resources, and product-support personnel. Occasional domestic and international travel is required as needed. The expected annual salary range is $137,000 to $201,000. Salary is a general guideline and may vary based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations. Relocation assistance is not offered.
