Pentair is hiring a Senior PLM Architect to serve as the Product Lifecycle Management data architecture and integrations subject-matter expert for Pentair Pool. This senior individual-contributor role owns the engineering data model, platform configuration strategy, and integration architecture for the next-generation PLM platform, establishing it as the authoritative source of engineering data. The architect leads the definition and implementation of the platform and remains its internal architect over time. The role has direct authority for Pentair Pool engineering data architecture and consultative influence on adoption of those architectural patterns by Pentair Flow and Pentair Filtration. It has no direct reports and leads through technical authority, mentorship, and cross-functional influence. The role defines and governs engineering data structures, standards, taxonomies, metadata, change management, and data governance. It serves as the deepest internal expert on the selected PLM platform, configuring and optimizing its data model, workflows, lifecycles, access controls, CAD data management, and BOM capabilities. It owns the architecture for integrations with enterprise systems and the migration of data from more than 20 legacy tools, including sequencing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning. The Senior PLM Architect provides technical leadership throughout implementation, from vendor selection through go-live, hypercare, and steady-state operation. In partnership with functional leaders, IT, vendors, and implementation partners, the role translates business needs into architectural decisions and PLM capabilities, advances the digital thread, enables data stewards and users, and represents Pentair Pool's PLM direction in enterprise architecture discussions. Program management, infrastructure operations, and functional business-process ownership remain with their respective teams. The position is based with the Apex, NC team. Travel may be up to 20% during implementation and approximately 10% in steady state. The anticipated annualized base pay range is $128,500–$238,600, with possible eligibility for an annual incentive bonus. Benefits include health benefits, a 401(k), employee stock purchase program, disability and life insurance, critical illness and accident insurance, parental and caregiver leave, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and wellness programs.
