About The Position

Divergent’s Design and Engineering Systems organization is seeking a senior technical architect to design and implement industrial-strength, interactive 3D desktop and web-based CAE applications. The role will build a scalable, web-enabled foundation for desktop applications and reduce development risk for the broader engineering team. The architect will design high-performing, easy-to-use applications for the DES suite, develop scalable GPU job architecture for clustered GPUs, and implement core application frameworks while delegating development across the engineering team. The role provides hands-on technical leadership to accelerate development of complex desktop applications and ensures industrial-grade quality, usability, and performance. The architect will align application architecture with DES organizational strategy, reduce risks from fragmented ownership, mentor engineers on desktop-application best practices, and partner with DES / Platform IPT leadership to support long-term computational-design goals. The position is onsite. Candidates must be able to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
