About The Position

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer for its Secure Network Engineering team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and integrating Zero Trust Network Services and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions for secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in a distributed, multi-tenant environment. The position is onsite in Nashville, Tennessee, five days per week; relocation assistance is available, and visa sponsorship is not available. The engineer owns moderately complex platform components, such as a service module or SDK area, and evolves their contracts for multi-tenant use. The role involves developing backend services and platform software, debugging across a bounded set of distributed services, implementing resilience and capacity improvements, and documenting guidance for team consumers. Work also includes designing and testing software, reviewing code, supporting customers and collaborating across teams, applying secure development practices, and maintaining and improving service reliability. The team works with network security technologies such as routing, firewalls, key-based authentication, and cloud service-level authorization. The role offers the opportunity to address cloud infrastructure security challenges involving distributed systems, network security, and scalable backend engineering.
