About The Position

Synera is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the transition of their AI Agent Platform from a desktop application to a containerized, server-hosted product. This role involves extracting the .NET backend, containerizing it with Docker, and establishing CI/CD, installation, upgrade, and licensing processes for on-prem deployment. The engineer will also contribute to making the platform AI-native by building MCP servers and agent skills, and will play a key role in growing a senior platform team. The position offers significant ownership and the opportunity to drive work from inception to deployment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building backend software in C#/.NET.
  • Proven track record of decoupling backend logic from a UI or desktop layer (extracting services, removing hard dependencies, making code run headless and under test).
  • Experience containerizing production applications with Docker (beyond tutorial level, including multi-stage builds, Linux images, image-size control).
  • Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience packaging software for environments the vendor doesn't control (on-prem or customer-hosted install, upgrade, configuration, and secrets management).
  • Experience working with AI tooling in daily engineering and a desire to build agent-facing tooling.
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive work to a finished, deployed state.
  • Fluent in English at professional working proficiency.
