About The Position

Bike Mobility Services GmbH is hiring a Lead AI Platform Engineer to own and build its AI platform on AWS and Snowflake. The platform will support data scientists, AI engineers, and business teams in developing and deploying AI capabilities for the company’s digital Lease a Bike portal and related business processes. The role co-owns the platform’s architecture and roadmap with the Head of Data & AI, and makes decisions about what to adopt, build, or buy. It is a hands-on technical leadership position focused on helping teams ship models and agents quickly, safely, and with transparent costs. The engineer will establish infrastructure, access, deployment, security, and governance standards in collaboration with IT, security, and ML & AI engineers. They will build platform components using Terraform on the AWS foundation and GitLab setup maintained by the cloud engineering team. Responsibilities span AWS Bedrock model access and guardrails, SageMaker and GPU workloads, orchestration and CI/CD integrated with Snowflake, reusable components and self-service deployment, and tools for tracing, evaluation, monitoring, and per-service cost visibility. The role also implements least-privilege access, audit trails, and technical guardrails for responsible AI, and helps non-technical colleagues use approved AI tools safely. The successful candidate will mentor junior colleagues and help establish engineering standards as the AI team grows. The role is 100% remote from anywhere in the EU, with regular team meetings in one of the company’s operating countries. The hiring process consists of an introductory interview followed by a technical conversation.
