About The Position

Midwest BankCentre is seeking a Senior Personal Banker to join their team. This role involves engaging with customers, building relationships, and providing excellent customer service. The Senior Personal Banker will assist the branch team in achieving goals, promoting products and services, and supporting digital banking solutions. They will also handle teller transactions, manage customer inquiries, and make referrals to business partners. Additionally, the role includes facilitating financial empowerment courses, mentoring new employees, and ensuring adherence to federal banking regulations. The position is hourly, full-time, generally requiring 40 hours per week, with potential for evenings and weekends as needed. Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • A minimum of five years bank customer contact or retail sales experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage clients effectively.
  • Technologically savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings, as per business needs.
  • Willing and able to travel to other locations/branches.
  • Willing and able to work required overtime.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Commercial credit experience.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers and establish rapport that builds stronger relationships.
  • Assist team in achieving branch goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service.

  • Work independently and manage their time.
  • Follow policies and procedures, maintain accuracy.
  • Follow through on daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
  • Contribute to branch meetings and culture.
  • Promote products and services based on customer's needs, providing consultative advice.
  • Assist with account opening and account maintenance for consumer and business customers, including loan applications and closings.
  • Support and promote digital banking solutions.
  • Assist customers with processing transactions, resolving complaints, and balancing cash drawers.
  • Handle in-bound and out-bound calls to build relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Refer customers to business partners for additional financial needs.
  • Assist in leading financial education courses.
  • Serve as a mentor/trainer for new employees.
  • Assist with MBC@Work presentations.
  • Gain knowledge of and adhere to BSA, USA Patriot Act, AML, and obtain/maintain NMLS and Notary Public.
  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts.
