About The Position

Harvey is seeking a Senior People Systems Analyst to own and scale the systems and workflows supporting its growing global workforce. The role primarily focuses on Workday HCM, including the design, configuration, testing, and continuous improvement of complex business processes. It also serves as the systems lead for Benefits and the Applicant Tracking System (Ashby), overseeing feature evaluation, solution design, configuration, troubleshooting, and end-to-end testing. The analyst partners with People Operations, Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and Corporate IT to translate business needs into scalable, intuitive, and well-governed system solutions. The position calls for an experienced, hands-on professional who can work independently from requirements through deployment, make sound recommendations, and influence stakeholders toward durable outcomes. The role helps build a reliable, scalable, and easy-to-use people systems foundation. It improves employee and candidate experiences by reducing manual work, strengthening data quality, and helping People teams operate with greater confidence. The analyst shapes the evolution of HCM, Benefits, and recruiting workflows and establishes standards for system design, testing, and governance.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday, an HRIS, or related enterprise business systems.
  • Deep experience with Workday HCM configuration and the Business Process Framework, including condition rules, approval routing, notifications, security, and workflow design.
  • Ability to independently design and deliver complex cross-system workflows, using judgment to identify when broader review is needed.
  • Track record of owning projects that improve workflows, reduce manual effort, or introduce tools or automation.
  • Experience translating ambiguous business requirements into system solutions, often with limited information, and persuasively explaining technical tradeoffs to non-technical and senior audiences.
  • Experience defining and running testing strategies, including regression testing, UAT, defect triage, data validation, and production change management.
  • Working knowledge of Benefits administration or Benefits systems, including eligibility, enrollment, plan configuration, vendor feeds, and annual enrollment.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including identifying root causes across systems, processes, integrations, and data.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities independently, make well-reasoned recommendations, and work effectively in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday certification or Workday Pro certification in HCM, Benefits, or a related area.
  • Experience with Workday integrations, EIBs, reports, calculated fields, or APIs.
  • Experience supporting recruiting system integrations with Workday or other people systems.
  • Experience with Workday Benefits, Absence, Compensation, Payroll, or Recruiting-related processes.
  • Experience supporting global HR systems, multiple worker populations, or international expansion.
  • Experience leading evaluation and adoption of new Workday or HR technology features.
  • Experience with security configuration, role-based access, audit readiness, or data governance.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding other systems analysts or administrators.
  • Experience working at a high-growth technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Own the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday HCM, including business processes, condition rules, approval routing, notifications, security assignments, and worker lifecycle workflows.
  • Lead end-to-end solution design by translating business needs into system solutions, assessing downstream impacts, and presenting recommendations at key decision points.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for Benefits systems, including plan configuration, eligibility rules, enrollment workflows, vendor integrations, annual enrollment readiness, issue resolution, and process improvements.
  • Support Recruiting Systems administration, integrations, and data quality.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on system capabilities, new features, configuration tradeoffs, and opportunities to simplify or automate manual processes.
  • Define and drive workflow, regression, release, and user acceptance testing across Workday, Benefits, Ashby, and connected systems.
  • Diagnose complex system and data issues by tracing configuration, business rules, integrations, and upstream and downstream dependencies; identify root causes and implement durable fixes.
  • Lead enhancement projects from discovery through deployment with People Operations, Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and IT, including requirements gathering, documenting options, and prioritizing work.
  • Establish standards for configuration documentation, test plans, process maps, release notes, and operational procedures that support governance and team self-service.
  • Monitor system health and data integrity, lead audit and reconciliation support, and uphold security and data governance practices for employee and candidate data.
  • Lead Workday and vendor release management by evaluating functionality, assessing impact, coordinating testing, and driving adoption decisions.
  • Serve as a resource for peers and stakeholders on complex systems questions and share knowledge and best practices across the team.
