About The Position

The Sr. Payroll Specialist will focus on accurate and timely administration of payrolls in the Americas (US, Brazil, and Canada). As needed, this role will also provide support to the regional HR team in all areas of employee lifecycle from recruitment to off-boarding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in payroll processing as a Payroll Specialist.
  • Extensive experience with employee payroll software and an HRIS (ADP WorkforceNow and SuccessFactors preferred)
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with global payroll tax and processing is preferred
  • FPC or CPP payroll certification preferred
  • Experience with other HR functionalities preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately calculate and process semi-monthly multi-state payroll in the US, Canada and Brazil, including long-term incentives, benefits plans, taxes, garnishments, sick leave, and other payroll deductions for the Americas region
  • Understanding of long-term incentive programs including RSUs and carry pools
  • Familiarity with income sourcing for domestic and global mobility participants
  • Knowledge of various Visa types, i.e., OPT, H1-B, L-1 and how it affects payroll tax withholdings
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure all data is entered into the payroll system accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure legal compliance is always maintained
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering HR and payroll-related questions and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in payroll and HR laws and regulations and communicate any changes to the organization
  • Collaborate with the Global HR Team to ensure excellent service and efficient global processes
  • Participate in ad hoc and special projects to improve payroll and HR processes
  • Support in all areas of employee lifecycle as needed
  • Prepare HR reports, statistics, and data upon request
