About The Position

The Senior Human Resources Generalist serves as a key partner to the Vice President of Human Resources, supporting the execution of HR strategies and day-to-day HR operations that drive STORE Capital’s culture, business objectives, and employee experience. This role works collaboratively with HR leadership, managers, employees, and Legal Counsel to support employee relations, talent initiatives, compliance, organizational effectiveness, and operational excellence across the organization. As a highly visible and trusted member of the HR team, the Senior HR Generalist serves as the first line of support for employee and manager HR matters, providing responsive, solutions-oriented guidance across a broad range of HR disciplines. This role requires a polished, proactive professional with strong business acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate with a high level of ownership and discretion in a fast-paced environment. The Senior HR Generalist plays a critical role in balancing hands-on execution with strategic support in areas including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, learning and development, HRIS administration, compensation, compliance, and organizational initiatives. This individual must be a strong self-starter who can independently manage priorities, anticipate needs, and help drive HR initiatives forward while maintaining strong collaboration with HR leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations, HR operations, HRIS administration, and talent support
  • Strong understanding of core HR disciplines including employee relations, talent management, compensation, compliance, recruiting, and HR operations
  • Experience supporting managers and employees in a fast-paced, professional environment
  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems and HR data management processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong executive presence with polished verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, relationship-building, and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and execute with minimal oversight
  • Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive matters with professionalism and sound judgment
  • Solution-oriented mindset with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Head of Human Resources and company leaders to support day-to-day HR operations and execution of people-related initiatives across the organization
  • Serve as the first line of support for employee and manager HR questions, concerns, and requests, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
  • Support and execute HR programs and initiatives related to employee relations, performance management, talent development, compensation, engagement, and organizational effectiveness
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, workplace matters, and employee concerns in partnership with HR leadership
  • Manage and maintain HRIS processes and data integrity, including employee changes, compensation updates, leave administration, benefits changes, reporting, and applicable payroll inputs
  • Analyze HR data and trends to provide insights and recommendations that support business and employee experience initiatives
  • Facilitate onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience
  • Support recruiting and talent acquisition efforts, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination, and ensuring job descriptions remain current and aligned with business needs
  • Partner with HR leadership on employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, culture committees, training efforts, and company events
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including I-9 and E-Verify administration and recordkeeping
  • Draft employee communications, maintain HR documentation, and support policy and process updates
  • Collaborate with Legal Counsel on employee-related matters, litigation support, and special projects as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service and responsive support to employees and stakeholders across the organization
  • Support additional HR and operational initiatives as assigned by HR Leadership or Executive Leadership
