Senior Payments Client Delivery Lead

Kraken•New York, NY
•$150,000 - $200,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Kraken is seeking a North America-based payments subject matter expert to lead client payments delivery. The role involves working hands-on as an individual contributor with Kraken engineers and client teams, translating clients’ legacy systems and desired outcomes into practical requirements and achievable plans. Clients are large, established North American utilities that may have legacy systems and limited payments expertise. The position covers payments as well as related debt management and collections processes, including customers in arrears and those who pay on time. The successful candidate will balance operational, commercial, and technical considerations, advise clients on payment channels, integrations, reconciliation, collections, and debt management, and coach colleagues on payments. This role requires regular travel to client sites across the country. The role is based in North America, with an expectation to work onsite at the New York City office three days per week. Kraken describes its organization as flat and agile, and seeks someone comfortable with ambiguity, changing circumstances, and work beyond a typical remit. The person should be a self-starter who can support stakeholders through change and deliver technology focused on simplicity, client benefit, and efficiency. The company works on technology for utilities and renewable energy, with the stated aim of contributing to a cleaner energy future.
