About The Position

Sweetwater, the nation's number one retailer of music instruments and pro audio gear, is seeking to add a Senior Paralegal, Legal Operations to our growing Legal team! The Senior Paralegal, Legal Operations position is not a traditional Paralegal role. This position is an exciting opportunity to merge legal and operational work as a key partner to the General Counsel and Legal Team's attorneys supporting the department across a broad array of functions including contract review and management, litigation support, regulatory compliance (including data privacy and AI) and day to day legal project management and administration. In this role, you will operate in a highly collaborative capacity, interacting directly with the entire Legal & Compliance Team and stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of legal experience in an in-house legal or corporate environment
  • Demonstrated experience with traditional legal work such as contract review & management, litigation holds, and document collection/production
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including working with and communicating to attorneys
  • High degree of integrity, empathy, ethics, and professional discretion
  • Strong judgement and reliability with handling highly confidential information

Nice To Haves

  • Strong litigation management experience preferred
  • Exposure to IP portfolio management and brand protection strategies
  • Exposure or familiarity with Legal Operations and/or Privacy and AI governance concepts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting initial contract reviews and redlines of agreements and maintaining a contract repository
  • Build and supervise work product of AI agents
  • Perform intake and assessment, legal hold issuance and tracking, data collection and e‑discovery coordination, and internal stakeholder communications
  • Assist with responses to subpoenas, warrants, and other inquiries (e.g CIDs), including scope evaluation, deadline management, and document/data production in collaboration with attorneys and business stakeholders
  • Responsible for coordinating signature workflows, ensures proper execution of agreements, manages administrative items related to outside counsel relationships
  • Assist with managing existing portfolio, docketing deadlines, Legal Dept intake process for new IP requests, assist with USPTO searches
  • Perform research and analysis on applicable regulatory requirements, draft/maintain/develop regulatory filings.
  • Prepare and assist with corporate filings and supporting M&A diligence and closings.
  • Organize and maintain legal files and records.
  • Perform special projects as assigned by attorneys.
