About The Position

As a Senior Paid Search Manager, you will run 2 to 3 client accounts that require significant oversight and manage the individuals responsible for other accounts. A substantial portion of this role now involves AI, which has shifted the focus of the position. This role offers the opportunity to grow and evolve with a small, growing team, providing an enormous impact on the business. Responsibilities will expand and change as the company grows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Google Ads, including agency experience.
  • Experience managing people or a demonstrated ability to mentor others and readiness to formalize this role.
  • Deep understanding of SEM fundamentals with data-backed opinions.
  • Familiarity with GA4, GTM, and conversion tracking setups.
  • Experience building with AI, not just prompting it (e.g., workflow automation, reporting tools, scripts).
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, including pacing models, pivot tables, and audit sheets.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to founders or executives.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues, taking ownership of performance outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Run 2 to 3 client accounts requiring significant oversight, across Google Ads (Search, PMax, Demand Gen, YouTube, Shopping) and Microsoft Ads.
  • Set the strategy and lead bidding and account structure decisions.
  • Manage budget pacing based on a forecast you built and provide month-end projections before clients inquire.
  • Write weekly client reports and the accompanying narrative.
  • Manage a team of Paid Search Managers, including weekly 1:1s, growth plans, and performance reviews.
  • Review work from the team before it is sent to clients, ensuring a high quality bar across all team accounts.
  • Participate in hiring processes.
  • Step in to manage an account directly when it is underperforming.
  • Write content for the company blog and develop paid search playbooks for the team.
  • Monitor changes across advertising platforms and communicate their implications for accounts proactively.
  • Conduct internal training sessions and webinars on areas of expertise.
  • Utilize AI tools like Claude for reporting and analysis, leveraging company skills and MCP connectors.
  • Develop and implement AI skills and workflows for the entire team.
  • Critically evaluate AI output and maintain high standards for the team.
  • Lead audits for prospective clients and present them during pitches.
  • Reconcile platform data with attribution tools and client reporting.
  • Identify and address tracking issues before they appear in reports.
