About The Position

Select and qualify packaging that protects medicines on the way to patients at a leading biotechnology company in Juncos, Puerto Rico. The role covers packaging from primary and secondary components through distribution testing. The position is a 12-month contract with a possible extension, on an administrative Monday–Friday schedule, with a stated start in late October 2026.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of experience, or a Master's degree and 2 years of experience, or a PhD.
• Packaging engineering experience with pharmaceutical or biotechnology final products.
• Knowledge of ASTM, ISO, TAPPI, USP, and EP standards.
• Knowledge of GMP/GDP.
• Project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Write test protocols and technical evaluations for packaging materials, including bottles, labels, trays, lidding, leaflets, paperboard, sterile barrier, and corrugate.
• Run ASTM D4169 distribution testing.
• Write reports that justify material choices.
• Manage packaging projects with cross-functional teams.
