This position requires creating and managing standalone Oracle databases proficiently. Also, this position requires the ability to identify and triage issues, perform server maintenance, execute software installations and patching, maintain High Availability (HA) systems and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols. Need to have the ability to work independently, collaborate within and across division teams, and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
Requirements
- U.S Citizenship
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Oracle.
- Professional Oracle certifications required
- Experience in: MariaDB, Oracle, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN and MS Access.
Responsibilities
- Creating and managing standalone Oracle databases proficiently.
- Identifying and triaging issues.
- Performing server maintenance.
- Executing software installations and patching.
- Maintaining High Availability (HA) systems.
- Executing Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols.
- Working independently, collaborating within and across division teams, and communicating effectively with all levels of staff and management.
- Provisioning & Config: Defines standards & golden configs
- Backup/Restore: Governs strategy & drills
- Patching: Sets cadence & risk controls
- Performance Tuning: Internals/optimizer/storage tuning
- High Availability (HA) / Disaster Recovery (DR): Architects multi-region DR
- Monitoring & Alerting: Define SLOs & unified taxonomy
- Security & Compliance: Owns policy & audits
- Scripting & Automation: Standards & governance
- Incident Management: Incident command & prevention
