About The Position
TTW Solutions is seeking a Senior Database Administrator who already possesses a DoD Secret or above clearance to join our dynamic team in support of a federal government IT project. This is an on-site position located in Washington, DC.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience managing Oracle databases for Federal Systems using Oracle 9.0 or higher.
- At least 2 years of experience managing Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Demonstrated experience and ability providing Oracle database and Microsoft SQL Server database administration monitoring and optimizing database performance, and tuning and managing database services and servers.
- Demonstrated experience migrating databases from Oracle to Microsoft SQL Server is a must.
- Demonstrated experience using SQL, PL/SQL, and Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing database standards, and database operating and security procedures.
- Demonstrated experience performing database backup and database management system (DBMS) recoveries.
- Demonstrated ability to install and tailor database management software and create and configure databases, table spaces, and all other related data objects.
- Demonstrated experience providing technical assistance and guidance to the application developers (.NET) as required.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving database related issues and problems.
- Demonstrated experience and ability projecting long range requirements for database administration and design in coordination with the Government.
- Demonstrated experience working in a web-based environment.
- Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Flexible, highly motivated, self-starter who can handle multiple tasks.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or related experience.
- Database migration experience from Oracle to Microsoft SQL Server is required.
Nice To Haves
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification or training preferred.
- Microsoft SQL Server Database certification or training preferred.
- Experience with using Agile methodologies in IT development.
- Experience with DevSecOps.
- Experience in Windows batch files and cron scripting.
Responsibilities
