About The Position

Watlow is hiring a Senior Operator in Winona, Minnesota, at $23.06 per hour. The role works Monday through Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM. The Senior Operator operates and sets up equipment, tools, and machinery to prepare and assemble products, including complex equipment. The role helps ensure products meet quality standards, may test products using established procedures, and maintains a clean and safe work environment. The Senior Operator meets production metrics such as takt time and serves as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues. The position also involves completing production documentation and may include inventory cycle counts and tracking work in progress. The employee is expected to follow the Watlow Way Behaviors, Values, and Principles.

Requirements

• Up to three years of related manufacturing or industry experience.
• Basic understanding of computer systems and data analysis.
• Ability to learn new skills and follow directions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn, improve, and flex between work cells and value streams.
• Location-specific certifications, such as IPC certification in Winona, may be required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two-year degree, technical certificate, trade training, or equivalent related experience preferred.
• Experience with TPM, SMT, electronics, and/or continuous improvement strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment, tools, and machinery to prepare and assemble products.
• Set up and operate equipment, tools, and machinery, including complex equipment.
• Ensure products meet all quality standards and test products using established procedures when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Meet production metrics, including takt time.
• Serve as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues, and work on tasks with substantial variety and complexity.
• Complete necessary reports and manufacturing orders, including documentation of scrap, rejects, and production times.
• Complete inventory cycle counts and track work in progress when needed.
• Follow the Watlow Way Behaviors, Values, and Principles.
