About The Position

The Senior Operations Processor 6 – SBA Loan Processor is responsible for supporting the servicing of SBA commercial loans by processing transactions and completing operational tasks in accordance with SBA program guidelines (including 7(a) and 504), internal policies, loan documentation, and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established procedures in a high-volume processing environment. This role partners with internal teams across Operations, Risk, and Compliance to support day-to-day servicing activities and contribute to process consistency and data integrity. The SBA Loan Processor also assists with process improvements and system-related initiatives, including supporting ongoing preparation efforts for the Commercial Lending System Conversion in 2027. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, basic analytical capability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four to five years or more of operations services related work experience
  • Strong PC skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Service SBA commercial loans by processing operational in strict adherence to SBA program guidelines (e.g., 7(a), 504), internal policies, loan documentation, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while meeting established service level agreements (SLAs) and quality expectations
  • Research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies, appropriately document actions and outcomes
  • Analyze SBA loan portfolios and loan histories to identify trends and key data points; develop and maintain Excel-based models and reports to quantify financial impacts and support decision-making
  • Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for assigned work, including follow through on open items
  • Interpret SBA loan documentation, servicing requirements, and procedural guidance, applying sound judgment and adaptability in a dynamic operational environment
  • Identify potential process gaps, risks, or inefficiencies and escalate observations through appropriate channels
  • Collaborate effectively with internal partners across operations, risk, compliance, and other functional teams involved in SBA loan servicing
  • Collaborate effectively with external partners, including investors and secondary market participants, to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation of SBA loan data
  • Analyze and interpret reporting and operational data related to commercial loan posting activities
