About The Position

This position is responsible for directing logistical operations by integrating knowledge of operational safety and customer issues and company and regulatory policies standards and procedures to develop and implement a comprehensive Logistics-related strategic plan. Executes processes and systems to promote and enforce compliance with regulatory policies standards and procedures related to Logistics operations. Develops and communicates procedures for general Logistics operations handling accidents and emergencies and maintaining equipment based on business objectives and company and regulatory standards. Creates an environment where managers and associates seek out recommend and implement ways to improve Logistics operations and ensure alignment with company and regulatory standards. This role also focuses on respecting individuals by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, creating a culture of belonging, and empowering associates. It emphasizes acting with integrity by maintaining high ethical standards and supporting the company's goal of becoming a regenerative company. The role serves customers and members by delivering results with a customer-first approach and making data-driven decisions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 2 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide
  • OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates
  • OR 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics /retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Manage assigned financial aspects by monitoring and tracking expenses compared to budget, monitoring asset utilization, and preparing, reviewing, and/or analyzing business reports.
  • Serve as a community liaison by participating in local and community organizations and charitable activities, championing company-sponsored programs and events to associates, customers, and the local community.
  • Supervise and manage associates and leaders in the area of responsibility by giving direction, communicating goals, monitoring performance and providing feedback, identifying training and development needs, and providing opportunities for learning and growth, teaching and supporting Logistics and company policies and procedures, and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates facility-wide.
  • Investigate and ensure associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved using own judgment or consulting others when needed.
  • Drive, develop, and implement the business plan for the area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) and implement operational improvements.
  • Monitor and ensure facility-wide compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives by developing, distributing, and/or maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Forecast and follow up on staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands for workload and performance results.
