Angel•Provo, UT
•$160,000 - $175,000

About The Position

Angel Studios is hiring a Senior Mobile App Engineer to build and improve its iOS and Android mobile apps using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript. The role owns major app features from technical design through launch and iteration, spanning content discovery, playback, and user engagement. The engineer will spend most of their time building and shipping while contributing to code quality, technical collaboration, and shared team standards. The position focuses on delivering reliable, high-quality streaming and personalized discovery experiences, including resilient playback, offline viewing, downloads, notifications, and membership flows. It also contributes to mobile architecture, performance and reliability, measurement and experimentation, Expo-based delivery workflows, OTA updates, CI/CD, testing, and release processes. The engineer collaborates with product, design, and backend teammates and helps improve team productivity through reviews, knowledge sharing, and better tooling. The position is regular full-time at 40 hours per week. It is based in Provo, Utah, with hybrid or remote options. Remote team members need a private, quiet workspace. In the main office, the environment is comfortable and air-conditioned, with desks in an open shared space that can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy. Travel to 2–4 onsite events in Utah each year is required; no other significant out-of-state travel is anticipated. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
