About The Position

Health Solutions is a premier wellness center focused on whole person care. With over 400 employees in Southern Colorado, you would be joining a mighty team of support and administrative staff, clinicians, physicians, nurses, and others in our efforts to improve the health and well-being of our community. We’re hiring a full-time Senior Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer to work at our 41 Montebello Site Location. The Senior Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer is a hands-on technical lead responsible for the architecture, engineering, administration, and evolution of the Microsoft 365 platform and its related collaboration, identity, automation, and AI capabilities. The role owns the platform architecture and complex administration, leads tenant and domain strategy, coordinates with specialized partners, enables routine operations, and partners with business and clinical teams to reduce user friction and support growth.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of hands-on experience administering or engineering Microsoft 365 in a multi-location healthcare environment, other regulated business environment, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102) OR Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
  • Strong experience with Entra ID and practical depth in at least two core services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, or Intune.
  • Experience contributing to or leading tenant and domain architecture, a Microsoft 365 migration, domain consolidation, or a comparable platform transformation.
  • Working PowerShell skills for administration, reporting, or automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, change-control, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Frequent use of computer equipment, including keyboard, mouse, and multiple monitors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through virtual collaboration tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, reports, and system information.
  • Occasional travel to business locations, meetings, or training events.
  • Ability to lift and carry technology equipment and office materials up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must already be authorized to work in the US; sponsorships not available.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience will be considered.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Experience with multi-tenant organizations, cross-tenant access or synchronization, acquisitions, divestitures, tenant-to-tenant migrations, or Microsoft 365 domain transitions.
  • Working knowledge of identity, security, DNS, mail flow, networking, hybrid environments, Defender, Purview, or Microsoft Graph.
  • Experience in healthcare or another regulated environment.
  • Experience coordinating technical vendors, building repeatable procedures, or mentoring administrators.
  • Relevant Microsoft certification, or willingness to earn an agreed certification after hire.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior hands-on engineer for Microsoft 365 configuration, standards, security, and complex changes.
  • Administer and improve Entra ID and core Microsoft 365 services, with primary depth in identity and at least two of the following: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, or Intune.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, compliance, and Technology Operations to strengthen access, endpoint, collaboration, recovery, and administrative controls.
  • Monitor service health, licensing, platform risk, and recurring issues, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Establish practical standards for when and how Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive are used for collaboration, communication, and file storage.
  • Define workspace creation, naming, ownership, access, review, renewal, archiving, and retirement practices to reduce sprawl and abandoned content.
  • Partner with business leaders, support teams, and users to identify recurring friction, simplify common experiences, and translate business needs into sustainable platform patterns.
  • Use service, adoption, and support data to identify improvement priorities and measure whether changes improve platform value and ease of use.
  • Lead decisions about when to consolidate tenants, retain separate tenants, or use a managed multi-tenant model based on business, security, compliance, cost, and user-experience needs.
  • Design and govern single-tenant, multi-domain, and multi-tenant configurations, including identity, access, collaboration, administration, policy consistency, and ownership boundaries.
  • Lead migration discovery, design, testing, cutover, validation, and operational handoff for tenant, domain, acquisition, and separation work.
  • Coordinate migration partners and specialized vendors while retaining internal ownership of architecture decisions, technical standards, and validation.
  • Maintain reusable architecture patterns, decision records, procedures, and governance for future growth and organizational change.
  • Use PowerShell and Microsoft administration tools to automate routine configuration, reporting, migration, and control checks.
  • Maintain platform documentation, monitoring, change controls, recovery procedures, and a prioritized improvement backlog.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex Microsoft 365 issues and connected services.
  • Provide technical guidance, escalation support, documentation, and coaching without direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Enable Technology Operations to complete routine administration through approved procedures, appropriate permissions, and clear escalation paths.
  • Work with technology, security, compliance, privacy, legal, business leaders, and vendors on priorities, risk, readiness, and adoption.
  • Explain technical options, tradeoffs, costs, and recommendations in clear business language.
  • Own: Microsoft 365 platform architecture, technical and collaboration standards, the engineering backlog, complex administration, and technical platform experience.
  • Lead: Tenant strategy, domain strategy, migration design, complex changes, and technical validation.
  • Coordinate: Vendors performing large migrations or specialized implementation work.
  • Enable: Technology Operations to perform routine administration through documented procedures, appropriate access, and clear escalation paths.
  • Partner: Cybersecurity, compliance, privacy, legal, business leaders, and change-management resources on policy, risk, adoption, communications, training, funding, and business priorities.
