About The Position

NVIDIA is hiring a Senior MGX Ecosystem Engineer, Power, to help grow its MGX hardware ecosystem and develop next-generation computing infrastructure. The role collaborates with industry partners, suppliers, OEMs, technology providers, system manufacturers, and internal engineering teams to design, integrate, validate, and deploy power solutions across the NVIDIA MGX ecosystem. The goal is to deliver reliable, efficient, and scalable power infrastructure for accelerated computing platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of demonstrated ability in hardware platform engineering, systems engineering, ecosystem engineering, or technical partner management.
  • Strong understanding of switching power conversion, including power factor correction (PFC), LLC resonant converters, phase-shifted full-bridge converters, and isolated and non-isolated DC/DC topologies.
  • Hands-on experience designing, integrating, or validating high-power server PSUs, power shelves, or comparable modular power systems.
  • Knowledge of rack power distribution, busbars, high-current connectors, current sharing, redundant architectures, grounding, and fault containment.
  • Proficiency in schematic review, circuit analysis, control-loop stability, magnetics, component selection, thermal analysis, and EMI/EMC.
  • Experience developing test plans and conducting efficiency, transient-response, ripple, protection, and failure-mode testing using laboratory instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose system-level failures by correlating electrical measurements, telemetry, firmware behavior, and hardware logs.
  • Ability to coordinate technical work across suppliers, ecosystem partners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25–40%.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience with NVIDIA MGX platforms, rack-scale accelerated computing, or power architectures.
  • Familiarity with PSU and shelf management interfaces, digital power control, and firmware integration.
  • Experience supporting large hardware fleets and driving corrective actions through production and deployment.
  • End-to-end development experience with high-reliability switching DC/DC supplies, including schematic design, prototype bring-up, qualification, and production support.
  • Space-rated avionics experience, particularly in component derating, fault containment, and rigorous validation.

Responsibilities

  • Define and review requirements for in-rack and out-of-rack power architectures, server PSUs, power shelves, and DC distribution systems.
  • Lead partner design reviews and system validation, covering electrical performance, thermal behavior, current sharing, redundancy, hot swap, protection, and power-management interfaces.
  • Diagnose complex power issues across distributed hardware fleets and serve as an escalation point for partners and operations teams.
  • Drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and improvements in reliability, serviceability, energy efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Translate deployment findings into design requirements, validation coverage, and ecosystem guidance.
  • Coordinate technical work across suppliers, ecosystem partners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 25–40%.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive salaries.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Equity.
