About The Position
Join our team as a Senior Media Technology Specialist and help shape the future of technology-enabled learning and collaboration across campus. This is more than an A/V role. We are looking for a strategic, technically skilled leader who can bring vision to life—someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, leading large-scale projects, mentoring others, and implementing cutting-edge media technologies that directly impact students, faculty, staff, and campus communities. As a senior member of our Technology Client Services team, you will serve as a trusted subject matter expert and project leader responsible for advancing classroom technology, hyflex learning environments, digital signage, event spaces, and campus-wide media initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5–8 years of related professional experience
- Valid driver's license
- Demonstrated experience leading complex technology projects
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to independently establish priorities and make recommendations
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Deep knowledge of digital and analog signal flow
- Experience with hyflex technologies and traditional A/V environments
- Expertise in audio systems, DSP technologies, and control system programming
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- The ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities
- A collaborative and customer-focused mindset

- AVIXA CTS certification
- Extron ECS certification
- Extron EDSP certification
- Hands-on installation and systems integration experience
- Knowledge of building and construction codes
- Experience supervising vendors or mentoring junior staff
Responsibilities
- Lead Technology Projects That Shape Campus Experiences: Oversee and execute projects that create and enhance technology-enabled spaces across campus, including classrooms, meeting environments, and event venues.
- Lead implementation and refresh projects for traditional and hyflex learning environments
- Managing installation efforts from planning through deployment and completion
- Coordinating vendors, integration partners, contractors, and campus stakeholders
- Maintaining project documentation, reporting metrics, and tracking outcomes
- Developing user training and instructional programs to ensure successful adoption
- Driving communication and accountability across project teams
- Design and Advance Innovative Technology Solutions: Research emerging technologies and help define the future direction of media and A/V services.
- Recommending and designing next-generation classroom and collaboration technologies
- Supporting media computing, presentation systems, sound reinforcement, and video services
- Programming and configuring control systems and integrated technologies
- Serving as a consultant and technology advisor for campus initiatives
- Supporting sustainability efforts, technology lifecycle planning, digital signage, and hospitality-related initiatives
- Provide Technical Leadership and Mentor Others: Act as a senior escalation point and guide the operational excellence of media services.
- Leading resolution of advanced media and A/V incidents and escalations
- Performing expert troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and quality assurance
- Improving support workflows and escalation processes
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff, student employees, and contracted resources
- Helping build a collaborative, service-focused team culture
