About The Position

Marketwake is seeking a Senior Media Manager (Paid Search) to lead the day-to-day management and optimization of Paid Media Search Engine campaigns. This client-facing role is ideal for someone who is deeply analytical, thrives on platform performance, and is excited to build and scale effective Paid Search strategies across multiple client accounts. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other Search platforms. You’ll manage budgets, optimize campaign structure, and deliver results through strategic testing and ongoing iteration. While senior in skillset, this is a highly executional role — you'll be hands-on with platform work and expected to own performance outcomes. This position reports to the Media Director and collaborates closely with Account Management, Creative, and Analytics teams to drive strong ROI through Paid Search.

Requirements

  • Advanced experience with Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Shopping, YouTube)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Ads and other Search Engine platforms
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, and Google Tag Manager
  • Skilled in keyword strategy, negative keyword lists, audience targeting, and ad extensions
  • Strong working knowledge of A/B testing, conversion tracking, and bid strategy optimization
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for performance analysis and budget planning
  • 3–5 years of hands-on Paid Search experience, preferably in an agency or multi-client environment
  • Deep understanding of performance-driven Paid Search strategies
  • Experience managing monthly budgets of $10K+ across multiple client accounts

Nice To Haves

  • Google Ads Certification strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end Paid Search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other relevant platforms
  • Oversee daily execution, including bid strategies, keyword targeting, ad copy testing, and audience segmentation
  • Monitor pacing and performance across multiple accounts, adjusting strategy to meet KPIs (CPA, ROAS, CTR, conversion rate)
  • Build campaign structures with a strong focus on data cleanliness and strategic segmentation
  • Develop Paid Search media plans and forecasts aligned with client goals and funnel stages
  • Analyze campaign performance to uncover trends and provide actionable insights
  • Recommend testing strategies to scale performance and improve ROI
  • Partner with Account Managers to align campaign strategies with broader marketing objectives
  • Collaborate with creative and analytics teams to optimize landing pages, copy, and funnel experience
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly reports, providing clear strategic insights and optimizations
  • Stay current on Search Engine platform changes, best practices, and emerging features (e.g., Performance Max, RSA improvements)
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency or performance tracking accuracy
  • Participate in beta programs and testing initiatives where applicable
