About The Position
We’re seeking a results-driven Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager to lead complex HVAC and MEP projects in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This hybrid role is ideal for a technical leader who can own mechanical design, manage projects end-to-end, and drive strong client relationships.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and project management (MEP/HVAC)
- Strong background in HVAC design, building systems, and energy codes
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and load calculation tools (HAP, TRACE, etc.)
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and client relationships
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- PE license preferred (or in progress)
Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC system design (air distribution, hydronic systems, ventilation, load calculations)
- Manage full project lifecycle: scope, schedule, budget (P&L), and deliverables
- Develop and review construction drawings, specifications, and energy-efficient designs (Revit/AutoCAD)
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, Florida Building Code, and energy standards
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and architectural teams for integrated MEP solutions
- Serve as primary client contact, leading meetings and ensuring project success
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development
