About The Position
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC and mechanical system design for a growing portfolio of MEP projects in Alhambra, CA. This role is ideal for a technical leader with strong building systems design, project management, and client-facing experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical/HVAC design within MEP consulting
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, energy codes, and building standards
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and load calculation software (HAP, TRACE, etc.)
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, or multifamily projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- PE license preferred (or in progress)
Responsibilities
- Lead design of HVAC systems (air distribution, hydronic systems, ventilation, load calculations)
- Develop construction drawings, specifications, and energy-efficient designs using Revit/AutoCAD
- Perform heating/cooling load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, Title 24, and local building codes
- Coordinate with plumbing, electrical, and architectural teams on integrated MEP solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery from concept through construction
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and participate in site visits
