About The Position

The Senior Marketing Technology Manager owns the technical build, configuration, and governance of the Adobe Experience Cloud stack for a sporting-industry customer. This is a senior, hands-on individual-contributor platform role focused on turning customer data and content into personalized experiences across iOS, Android, web, email, SMS, and push—not on sending campaigns. The role orchestrates journeys and decisioning, manages the content supply chain, partners with engineering on the data model, and establishes standards for other teams. The customer’s audiences include season-ticket holders, single-game buyers, hospitality guests, app users, and venue event-goers; solutions must perform at live-event scale and speed. The manager owns and governs AEP and Real-Time CDP, including schemas, identity, profiles, segmentation, activation, consent, preferences, and data-usage labeling. They partner with data engineering to understand ingestion from ticketing, CRM, e-commerce, mobile, point-of-sale, and third-party systems, and evaluate and implement Adobe capabilities while making build-versus-buy recommendations. They design cross-channel journeys and real-time decisioning, build audiences and personalized iOS, Android, and web experiences, and work with developers on SDK and Edge Network implementation. The role also owns structured content delivery using AEM and AJO, including templates, reusable components, modular content, and personalization-ready models. It involves development with Handlebars, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and API payloads; partnership on Data Collection implementations; analytics and measurement in CJA or Adobe Analytics; and release, QA, environment, sandbox, and troubleshooting processes. The manager sets platform standards and documentation, trains and coaches marketers and related teams, collaborates across business functions, and supports game-day and other event-driven programs. Additional responsibilities include participating in OP monthly team meetings and team-building efforts, contributing to technical discussions and peer reviews, contributing to the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base, and providing status reports to OP Account Management as requested.

  • Working knowledge of APIs, data schemas, SQL (Query Service), and JavaScript sufficient to understand data flows into the platform and troubleshoot alongside engineering partners.

  • Understanding of event-driven demand, ticket and visit lifecycles, and mixed online and on-site audiences.
  • Experience in an environment with multiple data sources, multiple brands or business units, and millions of profiles, where governance, consent, and data quality are significant constraints.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
