About The Position

Alta Planning + Design is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join their firm-wide Marketing Team in their Atlanta office. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability and health who wants to contribute to an innovative company's growth. The position offers leadership on the East Coast, focusing on implementing Alta’s strategic plan and organizational change management strategies in collaboration with the Director of Marketing, West Coast Marketing Principal, and Central Marketing Principal. Key aspects of the role include strategic pursuits, team management, and supporting the execution of strategic goals. The company's practice centers on public sector work, including community planning, sustainable transportation, parks, trails, greenways, and other public spaces that benefit communities. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, able to communicate strategic direction effectively, and maintain high-quality marketing deliverables.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, business or a related field of study.
Ten (10) or more years of experience in marketing.
Three (3) or more years of experience in an A&E professional services firm.
General understanding of the planning and design process.
Detailed understanding of the proposal development process for private and public agencies.
Exhibits strong initiative, ability to manage competing priorities, multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional teams and the ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
Exhibits accuracy, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Excellent professional ethics, accountability, and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and analytic skills.
Proficient in MS 360 products and Adobe Creative Suite.
Understanding enterprise-wide management tools.
Experience managing and mentoring staff.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in marketing, public relations, business or a related field of study.
Experience using Deltek VantagePoint.
Active participation in industry-relevant professional associations and committees.
Overall curiosity or interest in Alta’s technical work and industry.

Responsibilities

Work with a network of technical staff across the company to drive strategic growth and develop business throughout the east coast.
Report to the Director of Marketing.
Manage marketing coordinators focused on supporting east coast goals and proposal development.
Collaborate with a team of high functioning marketing managers across the country to distribute workload.
Work closely with the West and Central Marketing Principals, Business Line Group Leads, and Business Development Leads to implement Alta’s strategic plan.
Manage business development tracking.
Lead go/no-go decision-making processes.
Track qualifications and on-calls for priority agencies.
Lead production of strategic proposals.
Create unique and engaging client-facing technical proposal documents.
Manage time and team workload.
Lead Proposal Strategy Meetings.
Manage business development tracking and data.
Collaborate with other leaders both in and outside of the marketing department.
Provide a strong voice in decision making.
Perform proposal compliance quality control.
Perform copy editing.
Implement AI strategy.
Lead go/no-go decision making processes for RFPs.
