About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead technical storytelling for Amazon on AWS. This program showcases how Amazon's own businesses architect, scale, and innovate using AWS services. Amazon is one of the world's most complex AWS customers, running everything from supply chain optimization and robotics to generative AI and media streaming on AWS. This role offers a unique content opportunity to leverage real-world proof points at massive scale. You will work directly with Amazon engineering and business leaders to uncover these stories and translate them into technical content that educates and inspires external audiences, including developers, architects, and technology executives. The Amazon on AWS (AoA) Marketing team is looking for an experienced marketer to highlight how Amazon utilizes AWS cloud and AI, demonstrating how AWS services meet the demanding requirements of Amazon businesses across various sectors like supply chain, fulfillment, robotics, and delivery. This position combines technical innovation with storytelling to transform AWS implementations into inspiring customer examples. The ideal candidate will build relationships across Amazon businesses to identify and curate leading innovations built with AWS. They should excel at earning trust, diving deep, and developing messaging and narratives that position Amazon businesses as the hero. The role requires thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and balancing strategic thinking with tactical execution.

Requirements

  • Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects
  • Experience working cross-functionally across several teams both technical and non-technical
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, product marketing, or technical marketing roles
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business narratives
  • Knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture concepts

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing
  • Experience in B2B technology marketing, particularly cloud computing or enterprise software
  • Experience with retail, logistics, or supply chain industries
  • Track record of developing successful customer reference programs
  • Experience managing content for large-scale industry events
  • Familiarity with content management systems and digital asset management tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling stories that translate complex technical implementations into clear business value propositions, inspiring customers to build with AWS
  • Collaborate with AWS Marketing Integrated Demand Plans (AI, Data, Modernization, Security, Connect) to deliver stories that best align to their priorities and themes
  • Deliver compelling content at 3P flagship and 1P events (e.g., NAB, Cannes, AWS Summits, re:Invent) through keynote presentations, sessions, and innovative activations
  • Partner with the Amazon on AWS v-team to build mechanisms driving alignment on approach, execution, and key messages
  • Drive awareness and preference for AWS that delivers influenced opportunities and pipeline through marketing activities across EBCs, events, digital, and field channels
  • Facilitate reviews with Senior Leadership and critical stakeholders on strategic initiatives and content direction
