About The Position

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Mapping Specialist to provide clinical and technical support for its Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) products, particularly the EP mapping and navigation system. The role involves training physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff, promoting safe and effective product use, supporting sales objectives, and developing customer relationships. The specialist works closely with clinicians and the regional sales team to identify opportunities, deliver customer training, and build proficiency in mapping technology. This is a remote position, but the employee must reside within the assigned territory and travel to multiple accounts throughout the region. The role requires daily availability within the territory for unscheduled needs, substantial driving, and occasional travel outside the territory, including overnight travel. A valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance are required. Various levels are available based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

High school diploma and at least 8 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation; or an associate degree and at least 6 years of such experience; or a bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of such experience.
Reside within the assigned territory and be available there each day for unscheduled needs.
Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy; driving record will be reviewed.
Ability to drive approximately 25–50% of the time within the assigned territory and travel outside the territory, potentially overnight.
Ability to move throughout a facility, use a phone, keyboard, and mouse, and visually interact with personal computers.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for 8 hours a day.
For bachelor's degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Nice To Haves

B.A./B.S. degree in nursing, cardiovascular studies, life sciences, or a technical discipline, with at least four years of work experience in a cardiac field, hospital/clinic, or sales.
Proven track record with technical training assignments.
Experience in cardiac catheter ablation, an EP lab, a hospital/clinic, or EP medical sales providing technical or clinical support.
Ability to travel more than 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical and technical support and training to physicians and staff on the EP mapping and navigation system and all CAS products.
Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters relating to CAS products and related procedures.
Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures.
Understand and support national, regional, and territory sales objectives to achieve or exceed sales goals within all CAS products.
Develop and cultivate customer relationships resulting in incremental business.
Work in partnership with Account Managers, Regional Managers, and Area Directors to identify potential sales opportunities.
Collaborate and strategize with the local sales team to conduct customer training for mapping and other Cardiac Ablation Solutions products.
Collaborate and communicate with sales and clinical teams in the region.
Represent Medtronic CAS products, service, and support effectively to physicians and support staff.
Serve as a regional champion, sharing experience and influencing others to become proficient in mapping technology.
