About The Position

Reporting to the Head of Performance Management, the Senior Manager will shape how The Crown Estate understands and communicates portfolio performance. Working across asset classes, the role provides actionable insight into returns, risks, opportunities, and asset contributions to overall performance. The postholder coordinates and challenges external independent valuations, oversees a robust and well-governed process, leads performance reporting, and promotes evidence-based decision-making in collaboration with Finance, SBU teams, and external advisers. The role also contributes to the evolution of the Performance Measurement operating model by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, remove manual data inputs, increase automation, and improve data transparency. It translates complex valuation outputs into clear, commercially focused narratives for external valuers, SBUs, and senior leadership. The position leads governance and oversight of external valuations across a portfolio valued at more than £13bn, supports portfolio analysis and decision-making, and produces valuation and total-return insight for Board and Committee reporting. It also maintains accurate valuation data, supports compliance and audit readiness, and champions process improvement through tools such as Power BI and responsible use of AI-enabled automation.
