About The Position

The Senior Associate, Credit - Valuations helps lead the valuation process for Blue Owl’s Credit platform, including its daily interval fund. The role builds financial models and performs analyses to evaluate, support, and reconcile valuations, including stress-testing and back-testing. It also produces performance analyses, variance summaries, KPI trackers, reporting packages, and presentations for senior management. The position implements valuation best practices to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials across multiple teams, coordinates Valuation Committee activities and materials, and provides expertise on valuation matters such as regulatory reviews, new business initiatives, and current market practices. The role drives process enhancements while ensuring that policies, procedures, and methodologies comply with ASC 820 Fair Value Measurement and industry best practices. The Senior Associate develops relationships with business decision makers across Deal Teams, Portfolio Management, Investor Relations, Finance & Accounting, and Operations. The role also serves as a liaison for external auditors and third-party valuation firms, managing inquiries and supporting valuation integrity. The position is based in New Jersey, with regular office work past 5:30/6pm required to meet daily pricing responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business.
At least 5 years of valuation-related work experience in Credit.
Direct experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transactions.
Thorough understanding of ASC 820 and corresponding valuation guidance.
Strong ability to analyze and evaluate data, formulate accurate conclusions, and clearly recommend solutions.
Effective project management skills and awareness of internal business controls.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships with internal partners and stakeholders at all levels.
Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited supervision.
Ability to work in the office regularly past 5:30/6pm to ensure daily pricing responsibilities are met.

Nice To Haves

Credit valuation experience ideally involving Direct Lending and Asset Backed Finance, with a focus on consumer finance, small business finance, equipment and aviation leasing, residential finance, and corporate direct investments.
Finance or accounting designation such as CFA or CPA.
Proficiency in Power BI.

Act as a liaison for external auditors and third-party valuation firms, managing inquiries and ensuring valuation integrity.
