About The Position

Life Alive Organic Cafe is seeking a Senior Social Media Manager to lead its online presence. This role is responsible for developing and executing digital user journeys that enhance brand storytelling, attract new customers, and foster community loyalty. The position requires a combination of creative vision and analytical skills to ensure all digital interactions align with the company's purpose and growth objectives. The Senior Social Media Manager will oversee the communication strategy, collaborating with the VP of Marketing, Social Media Manager, Marketing Manager, Culinary Team, and café leaders to ensure Life Alive's digital communications and community engagement accurately reflect its voice, brand, and café experience. The role reports to the VP of Marketing.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience in digital content and social media, preferably for a consumer brand (restaurants, food, wellness, or lifestyle) or agency-side.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring junior social media staff, freelancers, contractors, and agencies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Creative Writing, Social Media Management, or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms, affiliate programs, editing applications, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Google Analytics, Meta Analytics, and Ads Manager.
  • Proven ability to develop and present social media strategy to senior leadership, including performance reporting and budget recommendations.
  • Experience developing written, photo, and video content, including scripting and on-camera performance.
  • Strong photography editing and video editing skills, including reels and short-form content.
  • Creative copywriting skills and excellent communication & grammar.
  • An eye for typography, composition, and design.
  • Proven track record of growing organic followers and engagement across prominent platforms.
  • Ability to network with relevant influencers and negotiate creator agreements.
  • Understanding of brand development, advertising, and multi-channel campaign execution.
  • A strong network of photographers, stylists, and other talent.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain grace under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Some photography training or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience with Lightroom, AfterEffects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Responsibilities

  • Architect Life Alive’s aesthetic and voice across social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn), authentically scaling core values and higher purpose.
  • Own and evolve a multi-channel social media strategy and roadmap aligned with the marketing calendar to drive brand awareness, guest acquisition, follower growth, and community loyalty.
  • Position Life Alive as a wellness authority through high-value content strategies, including ingredient storytelling, sourcing transparency, and nutrition-based editorial.
  • Monitor cultural shifts, emerging platforms, and industry trends to keep the brand at the forefront of the food, wellness, and lifestyle sectors.
  • Lead the creative direction and execution of photography and videography, including shooting, editing (on camera and iPhone), writing post copy and video scripts, recording audio, and editing reels for authentic brand storytelling.
  • Serve as an on-camera presence for Life Alive in reels and video content.
  • Build, manage, and scale an influencer and community partnership program, including talent identification, contract negotiation, communication briefs, and performance assessment.
  • Transform metrics (reach, engagement, conversion) into performance insights and executive recaps, using data to optimize strategies and marketing spend.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and market analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  • Own Life Alive’s community and engagement strategy across all platforms, managing inbound messages and proactively engaging with guests and partners.
  • Oversee direct messages and comments to foster meaningful dialogue and reinforce hospitality.
  • Partner with Marketing, Culinary Innovation, and Operations to launch new cafes, menus, and campaigns with social media support.
  • Foster a culture of creative excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
