About The Position

CIBC Asset Management is among the largest asset managers in Canada with over $200 billion in assets under management. CIBC Asset Management offers and supports a variety of investment products to meet the needs of investors in the Institutional, Mass, Mid and High Net Worth market segments. The successful candidate will build and lead the execution of data-informed product marketing strategies for CIBC Asset Management’s investment products, including mutual funds, ETFs, and managed solutions. Reporting to the Director, Product Marketing, the Senior Manager, Product Marketing will be a critical partner across the entire business, working closely with Product, Global Distribution, and the rest of the Wealth Marketing team to bring the right value proposition, positioning, messaging, and channel strategies to life. Requirements

  • Degree specialization in Marketing, Business or Commerce (CFA, CIM, CSC considered an asset)
  • 5+ years of industry-related marketing experience
  • Proven track record of marketing of investment products (mutual funds, ETFs, managed solutions)
  • Deep working knowledge of asset classes and distribution channels
  • Experience working with media, including advertising, sponsored content and PR
  • Working knowledge of Morningstar Direct, Seismic, Adobe and Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional communicator and presenter who can identify themes, build a creative narrative and secure buy-in from internal stakeholders
  • Detail oriented with a strong understanding of investment industry regulations
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks and projects effectively within a defined timeline
  • Effectively manage agency scope of work, budgets, and invoicing

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the execution of data-informed product marketing strategies for CIBC Asset Management’s investment products, including mutual funds, ETFs, and managed solutions.
  • Craft compelling positioning and messaging of investment funds in the market by combining complex product information with expert storytelling.
  • Lead the creation, development, and execution of product marketing projects, including fund launches, product management changes, and opportunistic sales campaigns.
  • Integrate business goals and project objectives to lead and develop compelling marketing campaigns across owned and paid media, working with internal and external agencies and media partners.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and identify marketing opportunities based on insights, market research, and other relevant data.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Establish measures of success for marketing campaigns and share progress, insights, and recommendations for optimizing results with other team members and leaders across the organization.
