Senior Manager, Paid Media

Single GrainLos Angeles, CA
$80,000 - $100,000Remote

About The Position

Single Grain is a Revenue Marketing agency focused on building pipeline-focused systems that compound, rather than campaigns that expire. They have assisted over 500 companies in driving measurable growth, with an average ROI of 3.2x. Their portfolio includes Single Grain Agency (digital marketing services), ClickFlow (AI-powered content optimization platform), Karrot (LinkedIn advertising and landing page platform), and Single Brain (client operating layer). Single Grain is transitioning into a tech-enabled services (TES) company, integrating software, automation, and services. The company operates as an AI-native, fully remote team, expecting all roles to leverage AI for increased speed, quality, and leverage. The Senior Paid Media Manager will be the strategic owner of a book of business generating approximately $720K in annual managed revenue across multiple client accounts. The primary goal is to deliver 20%+ growth, maintain 100% retention, and lead proactive strategy that connects paid performance to business outcomes like pipeline and revenue, not just clicks and CPMs. This is a senior individual-contributor role focused on client strategy and growth, utilizing AI to reduce execution time. While the role may involve mentoring analysts, it does not include direct people management or building systems for the broader organization.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in paid media with deep, hands-on expertise across Google Ads, LinkedIn Meta (agency, in-house, or consulting equivalent).
  • 2+ years owning client relationships end-to-end — strategy, communication, and growth, not just media buying.
  • Ability to connect paid performance to pipeline and revenue, not just impressions and CPMs, with specific examples.
  • Ability to build trust with clients and handle live, high-stakes conversations with confidence.
  • Ability to anticipate problems early and surface them before clients do.
  • Actively use AI to build workflows (not just prompts), and ability to point to specific workflows shipped — what they automate, how often they run, what they've saved.
  • Working fluency across Google Ads, Meta, and at least one emerging channel (LinkedIn, programmatic, CTV).
  • Ability to communicate clearly and directly — translating performance data into business language for non-marketing stakeholders (CMOs, founders, finance).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience primarily in media buying or campaign execution.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Reactive account management.
  • Basic AI use (single prompts).
  • Performance reporting without strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a book of paid media accounts; deliver 20%+ growth through upsells, budget expansion, and new-channel launches.
  • Maintain 95% client retention across owned accounts, with Net Revenue Retention ≥120%.
  • Deliver 2+ proactive strategic recommendations per client per month.
  • Flag risks early and eliminate reactive client communication — clients should never surface a problem you didn't see first.
  • Build AI workflows that save you 5+ hours per week — automating reporting, QA, and performance analysis, and reinvesting that time into strategy.
  • Launch new channels (LinkedIn, programmatic, CTV) within your accounts; document what works so it's repeatable.
  • Tie paid performance to real business outcomes — pipeline, revenue, CAC, payback — and communicate that story to senior client stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance after your first month of employment
  • 401(k) with 100% match up to 4% of your salary
  • $50K life insurance policy, paid 100% by the company
  • 12 weeks of paid family leave, effective after the first year of employment
  • Flexible Unlimited Paid Time Off
  • $100 utilities stipend, paid out as an extra $50 per paycheck
  • $60 UberEats credit each month
  • A MacBook, keyboard, and mouse
  • $500 WFH office reimbursement
  • Fully remote — work from anywhere
