About the position
Rachio is seeking a Senior Manager of Utility B2B to drive growth and strategic planning with utility partners. This role involves analyzing market trends, forming partnerships, and mapping sales funnels to increase revenue and market share. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, quantitative and analytical skills, and the ability to develop effective working relationships. This is a remote position with domestic travel expectations, and the salary range is $95,000 - $115,000 plus bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Develop a cohesive business strategy across the Utility channel to deliver sales volume, market share, and profit projections for Rachio
- Develop effective working relationships internally and externally (i.e. Government Agencies, Water Utilities) to monetize Rachio data across channels
- Use company data sets and research to develop market intelligence that informs channel-specific business cases that can be prioritized and invested in by the business
- Partner with marketing and product teams to develop "Go-to-Market" strategies for new and existing solutions within the Utility channel
- Define and own our business plan that can achieve forecasted sales volumes, market share, and profit projections
- Monitor the competitive landscape and develop strategies to own market opportunities unseen by and unavailable to our competitors
- Research new business opportunities via bids and RFP processes
- Provide cross-departmental coordination with Marketing, Operations, Customer Success, and Product Development
Requirements
- 5-10 years of sales experience with a track record of hitting or exceeding sales goals
- Quantitative and analytical focus, with experience identifying and building the right metrics and analytics to accelerate growth in new spaces
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Office (experience with Tableau is helpful, but not required)
- Ability to understand the business from end-to-end, working directly with product management, marketing, and customer success
- Innovative and entrepreneurial thinker, willing to put hard issues on the table and problem-solve with the team
- Strong energy and passion for water conservation
- Flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges
- Experience in government software sales is a plus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
