About The Position

SimSpace is seeking a hands-on, individual contributor Senior Manager of Product Marketing with 5-7 years of product marketing experience in cybersecurity. This role will partner with Product and Sales to ensure alignment with the company's motto: “sell what we build, build what we sell, and market what we sell and build.” The position requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in all aspects of product marketing. As an individual contributor, you will collaborate closely across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success. The primary focus will be to distill messaging and positioning into externally-facing playbooks for Sales and product-centric content assets to fuel demand generation campaigns by explaining in technical detail how SimSpace uniquely delivers its differentiated value. In the initial months, the role involves deeply learning the product portfolio, studying the market and competitive landscape, understanding the ideal customer profile and buyer personas, and engaging with Sales, Customer Success, and existing customers to grasp the buyer's journey. The Product Marketer will operationalize messaging, ensuring all externally-facing employees understand and can articulate approved product-related messaging using materials produced or reviewed by this role. Key activities include briefing industry analysts, enabling externally-facing employees with value proposition materials, and continuously educating colleagues by tracking competitors and updating field-facing materials.

Requirements

  • Expert Product Marketer with a passion for operationalizing messaging into field-ready and campaign-ready materials that capture value and differentiation.
  • Highly credible cybersecurity practitioner with years of experience studying the domain.
  • Technical by nature and can quickly understand how products work to a detailed level.
  • Comfortable giving live demos to senior external audiences.
  • Scrupulous when it comes to refining messaging and positioning and updating key product-centric materials.
  • Natural collaborator and enjoy partnering closely with Product and Sales to understand products, customers, partners, and prospects, as well as how they buy/partner, and what colleagues require to help them sell/partner.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Receptive to feedback and continuously seek ways to improve messaging and materials.
  • Work East Coast hours.
  • 5-7 years of product marketing experience in cybersecurity.
  • Deep technical acumen and comfortable and experienced conducting live product demos to senior technical executives.
  • 3-5 years of experience briefing industry analysts.
  • Successful track record of partnering closely with Product and Sales.
  • Hands-on team player, a natural collaborator, and very receptive to feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Operationalize company messaging and positioning.
  • Ensure all product-related materials shared externally are created by and/or approved by you.
  • Work closely with Product to help brief key industry analysts and engage in inquiry calls as appropriate.
  • Enable all externally-facing employees by providing them with the materials needed to convey unique value propositions.
  • Partner with Product and Pre-Sales leaders to continuously educate externally-facing colleagues by closely tracking competitors and updating key field-facing materials.
