About The Position

Join a dynamic team at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, a network of 90 spectacular properties in 30 countries. The Fairmont Grand Del Mar, a five-star resort in San Diego, is seeking a Senior Manager of People and Culture. This role reports to the Director of People and Culture and is responsible for managing benefits, training programs, HR policies, and employee relations. The resort offers a beautiful setting, luxurious amenities, and a commitment to growth, advancement, and a balanced life for its colleagues. Requirements

  • 3+ years of People & Culture experience preferred
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local law.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Hospitality experience is a plus
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred

Responsibilities

  • Management of benefits, benefits billing and open enrollment.
  • Accessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs accordingly.
  • Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Assists People & Culture with administration and support, additional projects and other duties as assigned as required.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Provide assistance relating to employee relations such as direct line committee organization, employee communication, bulletin boards, employee of the month program, employee picnics, parties and general meetings.
  • Follow and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned which are directly related to the responsibilities of the position.
