About The Position

The People & Culture Manager leads how we attract, develop, and support our people, ensuring our culture, systems, and processes align with our mission to Raise the Standard. This role is responsible for shaping a positive, effective workplace culture while ensuring the organization’s core HR practices are compliant, consistent, and well-run. This role leads people strategy, employee experience, and talent practices, while overseeing essential HR operations including policies, payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee satisfaction. Requirements

  • At least five years of human resources experience.
  • Ability to guide conversations, support conflict resolution, and encourage open communication.
  • Excellent understanding of key employment laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them in practical, day-to-day HR situations.
  • Comfortable interpreting policies and helping leaders and employees understand their responsibilities.
  • Proven experience with compensation and benefits programs, including pay structures, market benchmarking, and benefits selection and administration.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the People & Culture function by setting clear goals, maintaining effective systems, and ensuring people practices support a strong, productive workplace environment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain people policies and procedures that are fair, consistent, and aligned with organizational values; monitor effectiveness and address issues as needed.
  • Own and manage full-cycle recruiting efforts, partnering with leaders to attract, assess, and hire talent aligned with both role requirements and organizational culture.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, communication, reporting, and annual review to ensure offerings are competitive, compliant, and cost-effective.
  • Maintain accurate people and compliance records related to payroll, benefits, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and leave in support of employees and organizational obligations.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; stay current on legislation, regulations, and people-management best practices.
  • Partner with leaders to address employee concerns, conduct investigations when needed, and support timely, fair resolution of workplace issues.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage termination meetings with professionalism and respect, using insights to inform retention and improvement efforts.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and produce reliable reports to support decision-making and operational needs.
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy across time reporting, deductions, benefits, taxes, and related payroll inputs.
  • Develop, maintain, and update job descriptions to reflect role expectations, organizational needs, and career clarity.
  • Administer performance evaluation processes that support accountability, development, and alignment between employees and leadership.
  • Support planning and execution of company events that reinforce connection, recognition, and organizational culture.
