People and Culture Manager

About The Position

This Atlanta-based role reports to the Senior Director, People & Culture and partners closely with the SVP, People & Culture. The People & Culture Manager is a strategic, hands-on leader who supports business growth by building scalable people practices, strengthening manager capability, and enhancing the employee experience. The role owns core HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, policy implementation, and employment law compliance—while serving as a trusted advisor and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the employee lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including oversight of core People & Culture functions
  • Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and complex workplace investigations
  • Strong executive-level communication skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and advise leaders at all levels
  • Proven experience leading high-volume and specialized recruitment, including partnership with business leaders on workforce planning
  • Ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships with employees, people leaders, and executive leadership
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local levels
  • Experience driving and supporting people programs, including performance management, engagement initiatives, and talent development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use HR metrics and data to inform decisions
  • Demonstrated capability to lead through change, model company values, and foster an inclusive, people-centric culture

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multi-level teams within a manufacturing environment, including corporate leaders, people managers, and both hourly and salaried employee populations, is strongly preferred.
  • HR certification in either PHR or SHRM-SCP, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve onboarding and key moments that drive engagement, productivity, and retention.
  • Serve as a culture champion by actively reinforcing the company’s mission and core values, measuring employee engagement, and translating insights into meaningful action.
  • Embed inclusive practices across hiring, onboarding, policies, manager guidance, and employee programs, partnering with leaders to foster belonging and drive equitable outcomes.
  • Actively manage employee relations by fielding and resolving inquiries, conducting investigations as needed, and coaching managers on best practices.
  • Partner with leaders to reinforce and sustain clear policies and procedures that enable strong performance, organizational alignment, and a high-quality employee experience.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures along with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Appropriately manage leave administration, including FMLA and ADA processes.
  • Complete necessary regulatory reporting (e.g., ACA) and support audits as needed.
  • Continually review and improve internal HR processes and documentation to ensure consistent adoption and compliance.
