About The Position

Oscar is hiring a Senior Manager, Member & Provider Optimization to join their Member & Provider Optimization team. Oscar is a health insurance company that utilizes a full stack technology platform and focuses on serving its members. The Senior Manager will support teams in driving an outstanding, service-focused operation by designing, guiding, and assessing the effectiveness of operational frameworks and ideologies. This role reports into the Associate Director, MPSO - Optimization.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience coaching, developing, managing and scaling large teams
  • 5+ years experience using data and metrics to drive process and program improvements
  • 4+ years experience working in a collaborative environment with a diverse set of people
  • Experience leading and implementing large scale projects
  • 4+ years experience implementing operational excellence- LEAN, Six Sigma, or other improvement methods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with teams in multiple locations and within multiple disciplines
  • Prior healthcare or health insurance-related experience
  • Experience with facilitating, presenting to, and training senior-level leaders
  • Experience leading change management
  • Advanced Google Suite or Microsoft Office capabilities
  • Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Develop the critical skills necessary to support a best-in-class lean operation while influencing future decisions
  • Anticipate, overcome, and prevent recurrence of complex problems and roadblocks
  • Create routines that drive cross-functional collaboration within and outside of department
  • Establish a vision of clarity and ensure stability and scalability within the direct area of influence
  • Demonstrate the proper approach with implementation of Continuous Improvement Tools both internal to our company and in consideration of industry standards and best practices
  • Develop and implement core metric tracking and tool use present in a LEAN-based operational environment
  • Provide direction, mentorship, and influence regarding the necessity of process improvement work
  • Develop and maintain appropriate bench strength and develop organizational talent through clear goals and healthy accountability
  • Demonstrate substantial levels of resilience and adaptability in a place of ambiguity
